Great info, have decided that plodding around at 99kpm in the 100,s in the Viper is the best way of making my point and making the investment in speeding radar as waste of Gov money.P.S.Been told today that C.D,s on the front of car or dash screw up the radar lasers!,any truth in this?If so then i,m off to buy a load of C.D,s no one wants and a pot of super-glue!

Lol sad but true, the NZ speed nazis can even rein a Viper in ...... What ever happened to trying to outgun them along country backblocks..... dukes of hazard stlyes?........ "just some good ol' boys...... never meanin' no harm....." hehe

My bor's got a Softride, a Powerwing 650.
They certainly look funky as.

back on topic....

I remember a few years ago the cops in Auckland has a few 200SX Turbos as plain clothes cars.

I think nowdays you've got to keep an eye out for ANYTHING parked on the side of the road.

Amen to that izza.... seen some rather nondescript cars doing police duty round these parts.... obviously all sorts of Falcons/Commodores of various ages but also Mitsi Magnas/Diamantes and Vectras

have just got the most kickass thing ever (from america!)!not only does it detect speed cameras (gatso etc.), but with mobile ones, it doesnt just give back a false reading, it gives back a signal that blows the zapper, and even better zaps the w*nker aiming it at you with enough power to temporerily stun (s)he (the zapping bit even works when (s)he doesnt pull the trigger). isnt it great!!!

Is this site linked to N.Z Wellington Police HQ by any chance?Because your never gonna guess (well maybe you already have)what arrived in the post today!Bar**ds GOT ME..last Friday taking the wife to work doing 112kmh in a 100 zone, seems they were waiting above Route 1 coming into Dunedin they must have been set up on a unmade road that overlooks a fast down hill section. My first ticket in 8 years and i look out for the cops like the plauge...can,t believe they got me without me knowing, the good thing is i was only doing 112kmh,were usually doing 130+ !!The worring thing is since last Friday the Station Wagon has seen 170+ a few times!Just hope another nastey surprise is not winging its way to me!Looks like the Viper will be better off running a 50cc motorcycle engine in it .....I,m just gutted they got me, so i know what i,m getting for Xmas, looks like it could be worth its wait in gold!Best radar detector anyone?

New Year Pressey!....Ticket number 2(thats two tickets in just over 3 months!) !120 ina 100!At this rate I,m only gonna make it to September before I,m banned!Oh well, you do the "crime" and pay the fine!...but it still stucks!

That sucks Venom.... we hear no end of UK people complaining about their speed enforcement over there with all the GATSOS and things but it seems that with our empty roads and our rigid cops, you've more risk of being caught here..... I NEVER really exceed 110km/h unless overtaking... I've just learned that you don't argue, you tow the line and leave anything above 110 for the track

took my new 7 for a wee new year's run-in on sunday and got pinged within 1k of home! Someone in a Subaru decided to have a (too) close look from behind so i pushed thru a corner to give myself some distance and soon had mr plod up my bottom. 69k in a 50 k area (for all of 50 metres) =120 bux + 20 demerit points. meanwhile, following someone at less than a metre distance is seemingly not a punishable offence. odd, that.

as well you know Roger, following too close doesn't kill and since you were speeding (even for a little while) that makes you vilke scum who deserves to be shot for acting in such an unsafe manner.... or at least that's what the LTSA/govt are trying to make us think....... it's just another form of tax

Road safety my ass.
