Hi all,
I got pulled over for having no warrant earlier which was fair enough. My ticket has a 14 day compliance before I have to pay the fine, but I was planning on scrapping the car within the next few days.
My question is - can I provide proof of the car being scrapped as a means of avoiding the fine?
Its going to cost me a whole lot more than $200 to get the car back on the road!

I'm no expert but I would say that was an admission that you knew the car was not roadworthy. I think they will chase the money.

Are you visiting from Wiltshire or living here now?

How much chasing can they do to find you?

Fine won't be waived if car scrapped, need to show proof of WOF.

Thanks for the replies, although I've now spoken directly to the police and they say that its fine if I bring in proof of the car being de-registered. I've been working in New Zealand for the past few months, although I'm flying back to England in a week or so.
