Sticky Plates in NZ

's who've "seen me coming". The let-your-fingers-do-the-walking thing seems to indicate that about $100 is reasonable ???
I'd have thought that $100 for a decent-looking black-on-reflective-silver (a-la mock NZ plate style) stick on is quite reasonable... certainly not rip-off territory anyway... could be a bit pricey if it's a cheap and nasty job, but if it's decent, it's well worth it... if they do a good job, most coppers probably wouldnt do you for it even if it's not srictly legal... at least you've made the effort on what's a pretty much impossible car to put a normal plate on.

I wouldnt get to carried away with the white background,my last three sports cars have had just the numbers and ive never had any grief from the bib,(apart for loosing my licence the other day for speeding!!)Black or silver numbers should cover most colours.

Oh well, it's easy enough to do I suppose... I'm just lucky that I've not had a ticket in the past 5 years or so.... I guess having a car that's only capable of about 140km/h top speed helps a little.... that'll change though when you know what gets dumped into you know where

A friend had a very very lucky escape a few weeks ago...when on her way back with a American car and feeling peed off at the time coz of compliance issues (NOW SORTED!)after it had stood in a local garage for over 6 weeks she gave it a short quirt on the motorway and through a friend of a friend it turns out a cop was going the other way and clocked her speed but didn,t get the number plate and was unable to turn-around and chase as the motorway had a barrier.The speed?....it seems a speed of 200k,s was clocked so now the scalp of this car is sort!
This is only a cirulating story and NO proof has ever been seen to back this up.....but it seems to have come via the cops!

Well they'd have to prove that it was the same car.... and if they got no license plate can they really do that? Unless the car was totally unique and identifiable by some major feature.... then they can't make nothing stick.... probably good to lay low for a while.... It wasn't a Blue and white Snakebite was it?

Well it's all trivial... they'll have a terrible year this year, RIGHT at the midpoint between world cups before beginning a meteoric rise back to reclaim their crown in 2007 
..... or so I hope *gulp*

There are plenty of excuses - blooding new players (or to be more precise practically replacing the entire squad with the 'A' team), lots of injuries, reduction in training days (which is one reason Woodward resigned), serious lack of leadership etc etc
One of the main problems is they lack confidence in themselves and have nobody in the team strong enough to help them past this crisis. Johnstone would never have allowed that loss against Wales and certainly not the slipping away of a large lead against France. We lost the game to France, they didn't take it from us.
I also think the management need to be braver and drop a few old-school players and keep some of the newer ones in (Tait's a perfect example). It seems a lot harder to win an England cap than it is to win a cap for the ABs for example.
A couple of other things. We lost to Wales by two points and deserved to lose (they should have thrashed us). The Kiwis beat them by one point but Wales deserved to win. Wales were always going to beat a big team and I honestly think they are back and could pose a major threat by the next World Cup. They've had a lot of patience and have put in a lot of ground work to get that team where it is. Expect to see another couple of big scalps taken by the Taffs in the near future. If I was an ABs fan I would be worried about their (NZ's) Grand-slam aspirations!
At present I'm just hoping that England can get it together enough to beat Scotland and Italy, both of which are much improved over recent years (Italy's pack for instance is truly international standard now). Forget the Ireland game as that would be a difficult fixture for the World Cup winning squad let alone a battered and dejected young team like we have at the moment. I'm not saying we can't win it though.......
Everyone wrote-off the Aussies before the last world cup but they damn-near won it. Don't make the same mistake with England. We'll be back stronger than ever, we just need a bit of luck with injuries etc and perhaps a shift in the RFU's thinking.
I don't go in for the Kiwi/British-tabloid attitude of fair-weather supporting. I'll still drag myself out of bed at ridiculous hours of the morning to see my boys play and I'll always be proud of them.
