If you want to hire something remotely interesting/decent to drive other than the usual Corollas and Pulsars, try Smart Cars Auckland if they're still going

Definitely only looking for boring and plain, sole purpose is to drive up and down North Island following the Lions Tour, only 2 of us, so only needs to be capable of accommodating two cases

Looking for cheap to hire and cheap to run

Apex have used them twice rented a Ford focus for 3 months at a time was about £1400 for that length of time couldn't find anyone else remotely close to that price. It also included a free ferry trip from north-south island.
