well I would have been in wanaka for the race to the sky this weekend, but the mates i was headin up with pulled out at the last minute and left me stuck here in dunners looking for something else to do. so.....

just been for a beaut run up leith valley/waitati valley roads and back, half an hour or so of sweet twisty gravel leith valley has just had a nice new layer of gravel graded on top of it, very nice fast and loose through there...heh heh heh.

yet again i realise just how freakishly well balanced the legacy is for a 15 year old wagon. just use the revs (all 7750 if u like but not really any need to go over 6500), steer it with the gas pedal and u really have to get quite silly with it to get it unsettled. surprises me at times what it can do with its standard 185/65/14" tires

well anyway had to do something to make up for missing the hillclimb, had a lot of fun an thought i'd waste some more time sharing it with anyone who might actually read this.

hope your all having a more interesting easter than me.

Does it still have a "nice new layer of gravel on top" ?¿?¿?

OR is the gravel now off to the side

Just wait for the next Holden driver to come through, I bet with a bumper reaching the low they make very good graders.

I was planning to go to the hillclimb as well, but Saturday's weather was crap (I was planning to camp), and Sunday, despite the superb weather, my car decided that it shouldn't start.

Next time, lets all check in here. I don't know too many petrolheads around, so it would be fun to go with like minded people.
