TradeMe car thread
Discussion
Recently I was thinking that I'd never owned an ugly, rear drive, diesel engined coupe sitting on ruinous runflat tyres, so, this morning, I bought this.

Sold by a good dealer - certainly sounds like a good un too looking at their description of it.

I think he's just borrowed those two photos - the description on the dealer ad has afterburners - the pics on the listing TM are normal old school rear cluster. Also just noticed interior carpet different colour.http://www.tvr-hhc.co.uk/UsedCars/view/497063
This car is not known to the Auckland TVR guys....I phoned the seller, got a voice mail and asked him to call me back....still waiting.
The car was registered in December 2010, the only way would of been via SIV, so should not be sold for 4 yeas and will be de-registered if it is transfered....will post more after speaking to the seller.

Had a call back from the green Chimaera seller...he is the original second owner and Expat UK, apparently the car is on a standard registration and came over with him entering as a new immigrants vehicle....he has now been posted to China and now that 1 year is up, he can sell it GST free.
Its done 40k odd miles (he has converted to KM for the add), is standard , never been tracked, crashed etc.
A small chassis rust repair was done for compliance, but a high brake light was not fitted..?...so that in itself is a little strange.
Could be a good buy, but I suggest any prospective buyer should view (in particular check the chassis)and also check with LTSA with regard to the transfer of registration before purchase.

Could be wrong, new immigrant vehicle's need to be owned 1 year prior to arriving and not sold within 2 years as to not attracting gst. Regardless I cant see anywhere where the ltsa states the 4 year owning rule is exempt to new immigrants.
I would say its a pre 96 build, being a mark 1.
Still seem odd, the z4 he's selling on another user name was previously pulled by the TM admin a couple of month ago?

Missed this on trade me, but still available via the Constructors Car Club. I give you for your perusal (drum roll) the 1975 Bricklin.

The one good thing the De Loren did was move attn from the Bricklin, the previous worst "lets build a sports car and create 100's of jobs" fiasco.
