Who's feeling brave?!

As if the misprint in the title wasn't bad enough, the photo is out of focus and the details are sketchy to say the least redcard

That engine block is awesome. You wonder how the hell something like that would be over here in NZ.

Its probably only useful as a paperweight or a coffee table though.

While on the topic of engines (and a little off the trademe track).
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Chevrolet-IRL-Indy-car-eng...

I'd love to throw one of these in my single seat offroader..... however nobody makes a dropgear offroad race box that I can mate to her. (it's still tempting to run some glass over the airbox and call it a coffee table).

Project Alert!
This car is pretty much ready to re-assemble, and located in Auckland.

I imported this Cerb from Ireland about 2 years ago, and only when it landed did I find it had a lot of chassis rust. I drove it through Ireland, and had a ball doing so. It was road registered and legal over there. Since then the car has been fully stripped, chassis repaired, bead blasted and powdercoated. All the brackets, mounts etc have been stripped, blasted and powdercoated as well. All work has been carried out by the master of TVR, Jim Gamsby, and it is currently in his workshop. Unfortunately it is time for me to quit this project, so I am hoping to sell it as an ongoing concern. It has cost me just on $50,000 to date, with approiximately another $15000 to see it on the road. I am making a huge loss on this, you would be doing well to bring one into the country for this price, even after completing the job. Includes 2 key/immobilsers, and a set of race pipes as well.

New parts include AC Racing 5 plate clutch, Radiator, A/C radiator, Handbrake, stainless coolant pipes, front and rear upper suspension arms, driveshaft boots, gearbox mounts, upgraded engine mounts, front&rear A/R drop links and bushes, stainless brake hose kit, PAS reservoir, rear wheel bearings, driveshaft cv joint, alternator belt, A/C drive belt, diff mounts, diff top bracket, suspension bush kit front and rear, drag strut bushes, radiator mounts, steering column U/J, wheel nuts, rear brake discs, plus much more.

I was going to start it at what I paid for it but have added the cost of brakes overhaul to break even.
It should really be on at $2500 but I'm starting high to come down biggrin

Hi Caterhamfan

Not much use to you but I knew one of the previous owners of that particular Cerbera in Ireland, I had a 1998 4.2 at the same time and we has a few good runs on the track. I remember it was a very quick car at the time.I've seen it in Jims and it'll be a very good example when its finished. Jim's done a terrific job.

If anyone wants a really good quality car transport cover have a look at my post. It was a size too small for my car due to a bit of a mix up so its for sale at a bargain price.

I wasn't expecting that price! I like them but now priced above my petty cash - are they better than Bonus Bonds though? I know they won't make a million dollars but safer than other investments perhaps?
