Hey guys, If you ever see a white sign written Zintel Ford Focus with reg CSU309 round Auckland and you're in your Lotus'es (or any other enthusiasts with nice rides) give me a toot or a flash of your lights unless I get to first...

A white sign written focus isn't much I know but it's ok until I have enough to fund my TVR T350 Or Lotus Exige (which ever I can get into the country from the UK easier) smile

George - Hope you get that Exige on the road soon bud!

If your T350 budget extends to a 2006 one, buy it, as you won't have to go through the Special Interest Vehicle red tape. LTNZ is aware that TVR didn't make many cars that year.

GTi6 Pugs in my shade of red are hens teeth, although there's a dark metallic red that's quite common. Don't know about more base-model ones (which look basically identical).

I was up playing around SH17 / Green Rd on Sunday, but wasn't near west harbour

Spotted - Porsche 944 in full rally livery, number 310 heading north out of the Terrace Tunnel, Wellington, onto a clear motorway. Driver smirking with carefree expression of someone planning to spend several days throwing said car round tight twisties at stupid speeds. Have a safe one Don... driving

nono Not me, Iain. We've got some packing of spares to do and then head up on Friday.

Results will be posted through the weekend here and there'll be some TV coverage at some stage, probably Sunday afternoon on TV1. Hopefully we won't feature as it seems to me unless you're a sponsor or likely class winner, the only way you get on TV is by crashing spectacularly (yes, like last time, only in front of a camera) wink

There's three E30 M3s in our class now with 50 more horses and a fair bit less kilos - first of the rest would be a great result for us.

Red TVR Tuscan - the one that is/was for sale on trade me - somewhere between Kaikoura and Christchurch. First TVR I've seen on the road in NZ - looked good smile

Funnily enough, I saw the same one just crawling out of Paraparaumu, heading north of SH1, bout 2.30PM. Looked good - going to slowly to hear how it sounded. Must be doing a long road trip as well, or maybe sold it...

So if it was complied under SIV, does the new owner now know he's driving an illegal car?

Shirley, that would have been flagged at Change of Ownership, or subsequent WoF, or Rego, or all three confused

The NZTA computer should have had a spaz and not let it go through

This is the point I made a few times back - automatically preventing vehicle from being sold would require a rewrite (even minor) of the LTNZ rego licencing software. I bet they even didn't bother.

A decent spot from me - Hulme Canam Super Car in Manukau Heights yesterday late arvo, we followed three cars behind on Redoubt Rd then it peeled on onto Murphys Rd. Wow, must be one of NZ's most expensive cars !!! Looks really mean on the road!
