cheddar said: Wouldn't normally post on spotted without a pic and I beat myself into a pulp for not having a camera but this was too rare to not mention.
Cardrona pub carpark yesterday (Sunday 4th) Renault Sport Spider, Elise and Mustang Convertible.
The only Sport Spider in NZ? There are at least three sport spiders in Auckland, so I doubt it

That'll be the old American bit in the back playing up, it won't be electrical, Italian cars never have electrical problems!

This was parked up the other day: On Friday several Corvettes of all years - probably on the way to the nationals in Masterton. Today a 1960ish Cadillac but no camera on me

cheddar said: is that chippie any good? On that topic, if you're doing more trips between Chch and the lower south stop off at Waihola for fish and chips some time, they're pretty excellent. Waihola fish supply or whatever its called, across the road from the tearooms.

I rate the Hampden chippie just north of Moeraki - I'm always keen to lower my bhp/ton on any given journey. Should have called in when I was down this week, always seem to be too busy. Did you sell the MX5? If so, what's next? Maybe this? - http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=44...

Yesterday, while on my way to the V8Supertourers, what looked like a black E-Type being pushed backwards onto the shoulder between where the Manukau City southbound on ramp intersects with the Southern Motorway.

Worth considerably more than my house. Yep sold the MX5, took 7500 in the end - cash in the hand being the winner on the day. Hindsight being what it is I should have taken the 8200 I was offered in November! Had a few people interested at the time and thought I could hold out for more. Not sure what next, most likely a cheap 4wd (old Daihatsu Rugger or something) or just being boringly sensible and chucking the cash onto the mortgage. PS there is a quieter, more interesting (but same distance) route from Balclutha to Gore too, turn right just before the bridge and follow the Clutha road up to Clydevale then cross the bridge there and follow Clydevale Road -> Miller Road which pops you back onto SH1 just before Waipahi.
