It needed doing mate. It was too fat and not rigid enough. Fed up of carrying around all the excess baggage. I want it to be as focussed as possible.

Go big or go home! biggrin

Lol, dude you won't have to shotgun it, you can drive it.

Although not in the same league as Larry, I think you'll enjoy the noises. biggrin

She's getting there Mick.

Big progress today. Cage was dropped to weld the tops and the screen got its corner gussets. Tomorrow the centre cross will be boxed in to the swan neck. But still my favourite part to come and they're the WRC a pillar gussets. biggrin

Here they are.

S12B WRC items, and yes they're all made from one piece of metal.
The most beautiful a pillar gussets you'll ever see, they wrap around the tube as well as run back and forth.

570 mile round trip to see Dave at DM Motorsport today and catch up with the fabrication work on my old shed. I have to say, the photos really don't do his work justice. In the metal it looks even more bonkers than I knew it would be.
Also picked up my carbon doorcards and discussed the rest of the items to be done.

I can't wait to see her in paint. biggrin

Dash bar and sill tubes in.

All sorts of odds and sods jobs being done still. Screen gusset is in progress, I think Daves still playing with the design of this.

Also painstakingly spot welded in heaps of tiny little 20mm straps for all the wiring, brake lines and fuel lines. Little details like these take ages.

Okay, so I've been keeping this plan on the down low.
I'll let the photos do the talking.
Basically all genuine panels with steel rear qtrs and doors, carbon sills and kevlar wings.

WRC S8 coming soon.

Today Dave started on the drivers side rear qtr. All made by hand to Prodrives original S8 pattern.
