What I love about this fledgling meet, is the friendliness of the people and the eclectic group of cars.I really hope it doesn't go the way of The Hare meet(and yes by posting I realise I'm not helping!).
I'm hoping to bring along a couple of friends, one in an air-cooled Porsche and the other in a ground-up restored wide arch MK1 Escort Mexico.

Ooooh, tasty. I had one of those back in the 70s. Full rally spec with a BDA lump out of a RS1600. The most fun you could have with your trousers on.

Just some advice for those of you coming from Kent and/or west of Basildon. The A13 is closed this weekend for some major work at the Stanford Le Hope interchange, see below:

To avoid this area I suggest you use the A127 unless you know the local roads well enough to dodge round it without using the long diversion they are showing.

I'm from Kent. Thanks for the heads up. However I never use the A127. It's much quicker to reach Bicknacre via the M25/A12 J17/East Hanningfield.
