fk and bks....forgot to pay for my crossing on Sat afternoon. I guess paying this morning is too late to avoid being stiffed for £35?
I'd try and see what happens.
Well seems like my payment was set against my Saturday crossing even though I missed the midnight the following day payment deadline. Maybe there's a grace period for first time offenders/idiots like me! thumbup

http://www.kentonline.co.uk/dartford/news/extra-ch... - no indication of how long they might continue to hold off though.

In fact has anybody on here been stiffed with one of these yet? - https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploa...

Translating that it's probably more a case of the system can't cope with the amount of non payments so please pay up.

Yup, back in December.

Drove our filthy, mucky X-Trail over the crossing one evening to Thurrock, came home the same day.

Couple of days later, I was outside washing my car and noticed the X-Trail was so dirty, the headlights were almost opaque. I gave them a quick wipe down, and the numberplate while I was there. Later the same day, we used it to cross northbound again to go to Stratford, but came home via Blackwall.

I've only been charged the single northbound trip that was made after cleaning the plates, so from now on, I think I'll just let them stay dirty tongue out

Well, I did !!

Went over and back in December, got my December and January month end crossing histories and nothing on there, checked again today, and all crossings I've made since opening the account have gone on there.

Certainly took their time to allocate the crossings to my account !!

Wonder what would have happened if all my crossing hit my account at once and there wasn't enough money in there to cover it? I've set up a low fund warning but if theres a chance they are sticking through 4 or 5 crossings in one go ??

I've been through the Dartford crossing on 4 seperate days, paid each day on line when I've got home. The Website for payment is a complete and utter mess. Quite how something so awful could be written in the first place beats me, and considering the had months of notice they had, it's a bloody disgrace. When I checked my payments against journies made, payments were missing, payments were allocated to the wrong journey. It took a call the Tunnel Operators to check that all my payments had been allocated correctly. So it makes me wonder how those who don't pay on time are being processed. Should've made the dam crossing free as was originally promised.

The new system hasn't helped anti-clockwise queues through the tunnel especially during the evening rush hour. The last 2 nights it's taken me about an hour and a half to get from junction 4 to the tolls. And tonight is looking as bad.

I don't think we can blame the tolls though as it's been ok up to this week. My guess is that it being half term loads of people are making their way to/from Bluewater and Lakeside.

Roll on next week!!

The Tunnel Staff have also decided to pull every 10 plus car transporter as "suddenly" they class them as a abnormal load.

So that's 43 quid every single time a full 10 car truck goes through the tunnel. Someones Xmas bonus is going to be bigger this year.

Bet that's not helping the traffic flow, considering the amount of cars in Sheerness etc etc.

We set up an account for the works van, we cross two or four times a week and have only been charged 4 times since the beginning of December; there are funds in the account, the plate is in standard font, position and is reasonable clean...

Same here, registered a hire vehicle in Jan and I have made numerous journeys and they haven't taken a penny out of the account.

Have just come back from 2 weeks holiday, used the crossing twice yesterday and once today but neither crossing is showing on my account.

Anybody else found this?

It's probably a bit too soon for it to show on your account. Either that or you'll be receiving a PCN even though you have an account! smile

One of my February crossings didn't make it onto my statement until this month - they managed to get the southbound crossing on the same day into the Feb statement though laugh

My company just got a fine through for me from 2nd december, when the manager phoned up he also paid for one more crossing they had showing on the system, I'm not sure what's happened but I've used the crossing a further three times since then.

Yep, they can read black plates, trying to pay now but the site is a joke, finally loaded the page but then the actual payment page is even worse, how do these idiots run anything..

Thanks for the feedback.

Interestingly, my car with Black plates took about three days to show in my account, whereas, my Dad's car (same account and crossing ten minutes after) showed straight away.

Why, I don't know, but found it strange.

Did you cross during chargeable hours? I've always found the crossings are billed to my account within a day.
