No, not a car issue but our Essex chums need to help me out here.

Mr and Mrs Scouse - Wedding Anniversary - July.

I am looking for a place to dine, not a problem on the whole but my lass is a Veggie.

Now I love a piece of cow's arse, suits me fine but she needs a large portion of root crops.

We are based in Colchester so feel free to post links/ideas/suggestions that offer good grub suitable for us both.

Ta.

Oh, forget Milsoms and Le Talbooth @ Dedham, been there and less than impressed.

Carl/Scouse.

Owned by a friend of mine, won several awards recently, ask for Vic,tell him Andy Martin sent you!
Sample menu, any good? With enough warning, he's quite likely to knock up your misses favourite dish as a nice touch.

If it's not too far, the Great House in Lavenham is very good. My wife's veggie and was preggers at the time, they just made something up for her that she liked, top class!

I've stayed at the Great House with Mrs Lufbramatt and it's gorgeous. Well worth booking a room to stay the night. Best hotel I've ever been in by far. Think they only have 6 rooms but they're amazing.

Barn Brasserie is nice & poncy for anniversaires & such, haven't been in a while though.

Il Padrino is a cracking little Italian, not just because my father in law works there biggrin If the other half eats fish this might be a winner.

Wivenhoe house Never been but heard good things.

Crown in Stoke As above

Warehouse As above

Swan at Stratford As above

The Pier is owned by the Milsoms group but the upstairs fish restaurant is supposed to be great and the views are pretty cool also.

Went to The Barn some time ago and we almost died of starvation between courses - would try it again now though.

The Pier is good but Harwich is not. laugh

Not tried the rest.

Cheers for the links. cool
