A few of us are gonna meet up at the Halfway House pub on the A127 this sunday morn (3rd Aug), we'll be leaving there at 10am for a little drive via country roads over to North Weald airfield to the Squadron cafe. Weathers looking good and this is nothing more than an excuse to get out for a little spin while summers here. Please feel free to join us at the HWHouse before 10am if you fancy a drive

Ddi you know that 'Nostalgair' is on this Sunday at North Weald, its a classic car/bike/plane show and is £5 to get in (or free for you and a passenger if you're in a classic)

Cheers m8, I did know this but unfortunately when I mentioned this info in my last post a few days ago, the P/Heads moderator deleted my post because he said it was promoting an event without P/Heads permission (seemed a tad draconian, but hey ho what can ya do).
I have actually arranged for any one joining the convoy from the Halfway house on sunday to get free entry to the event no matter what car your driving

Does seem a bit heavy handed. Best not mention the beer festival thats going on as well then. I'm also local so probably going to ride down on my bike (due to aforementioned beer festival)

Was a nice way to spend a morning strolling round the planes and cars. Had a nice bite to eat at the Wings cafe.

They another open day on the 7th of September which I plan on going to.
