Hi, I need to get a bumper respray, long story, basically BMW did a piss poor repair job and now the paint is flaking. I was thinking of taking it to a chap in Stow Marie (Carrs Body Repair), I've heard that the bloke who owns the Ford dealerships in Essex only goes there, my brother has had work done there but just wanted to get a few more quotes.

I have used Fullbridge Restoration in Maldon (http://www.fullbridgerestoration.co.uk/) several times and can highly recommend them. They aren't cheap though.

Barring the fact that they are now in Witham (walking distance from the station) - I totally agree on everything you say! Very high quality work - but it comes at a price. They will not risk their reputation on short cuts.

I recently used 'http://www.eastcoaststyling.com/' for repairs to my IS-f and they were superb. quick work done to a very high standard. Had my wheels re-ferbished, windows tinted and a number of pannels sprayed.

Church Bodyworks based at west station yard behind the fire station are very good. Used a few times for various bit and bobs including a full frontal respray and workmanship was top notch!

Chaplane's in Colchester are worth a shout - they've worked on my Porsche in the past, (and more recently, though I've not picked it up yet). On the basis of the previous work I'd recommend them smile

Pretty sure a colleague of mine who has a fleet of old MG's always uses these chaps and speaks highly of them.

Work colleague - he's got a pretty good collection; his MGB's his daily and has over 300k on the clock. He had a 75 when they first came out - unusually he didn't keep that one.

I've never used them but seen lots of their work...definitely top notch paintwork. A few of the top VWs at the Volksworld Show were the result of SVRs work.
