Supercar ONLY paddock @ The Hare, Roxwell. Sat 2nd May.
Discussion
Hi All. I've been going to the Hare since the first meet (changed my car a few times since then) and I think the earlier point of wanting variety is a very well made one. It's the unusual cars that I like to see and I think it'll be a shame if they start limiting the cars in the car park to a list. I know that some supercar clubs use the Goodwood list, which is pretty unambiguous: https://www.goodwood.com/downloads/fos/2014/super-... However, I'd much rather see some of the cars mentioned on this thread than a dozen Ferrari's and Astons regardless of the model, some of which are lets face it, fairly common in Essex .
What would be nice is if the owner politely requested people not to park in the car park if there is already a model in there the same as the one they're driving. That way, we'd get to see the best variety of great cars in a compact area.
Just MHO...

So how did it go this morning then?
I thought it went very well, really nice selection of motors there, plenty of space for the other cars. This meet seems to be getting better and better. Big thumbs up to the fella who told the idiot doing burnouts in the C63 to clear off. I'll post some pics later.trackdemon said:

Why people feel the need to do this sort of thing I'll never know! A small part of me always hopes they mess it up and hit a ditch! Take off at speed so we can appreciate the sound but that's it.Stu
Car park was full by 8:05 and the 'Supercar' treatment ranged from approximately 6-7 almost identical Astons (courtesy of the guy letting people onto the gravel area), through to some nice machinery including White Diablo (proper Supercar!), SLR Macca (proper Supercar), lovely Interceptor III, few Fezza's, few Lambos including Gary's new Kermit Green Huracan, standard 911 3.2 (when a 964 shape Turbo got turned away!), a few 996 and 997 Turbos, and a Tesla Model S (not a supercar but one of the few I was interested in looking at - great talkative owner too!).
Otherwise it was a good morning out, usual people, good breakkie, and nice weather (wind was proper cold though!)
Think the Supercar paddock needs a bit of a rethink but was worth a try to see what happened, and not quite as bad as feared. Maybe let people park as previously but reserve say 8 spaces (first four on either side of the paddock as you enter) for latecomers in exotics. Biggest problem was getting the 'Supercars' out as the rest of the car park was chokka!
Strangely as people turned up earlier they had all left earlier, I was one of the last to leave at about 11:30!
Looking forward to TrackDemon's pics (loved the car by the way and it sounded superb when you left)

It was a great event again, and the guy on the cone bravely marshalled an eclectic mix of cars, certainly not all main stream "supercars", the pristine Ultima GTR being a particular favourite.
I think they got the mix right and although I did feel for the guys turned away in the in the Carrera 2s and Caterhams, 10 of them is just not interesting, when there is limited space.
The chap did let in cars less capable and less expensive, but unique and appreciated.
Always a good crowd and all respectful of other peoples metal.
Gary's new toy was simply "immense"

Gutted I never even made it, and I was supposed to help out too, so apologies for that.
Basically got called up last night by a mate who I hadn't seen since 2009.
Said I'd meet him for a beer and well... That's where it all went wrong. Lol.
And they'd even gone to the trouble of getting you a hi-viz with your name on it. Shame on you Basically got called up last night by a mate who I hadn't seen since 2009.
