Help - just topped up my diesel car with brake fluid, not oil.....can I run it or I need to drain, flush and replace filter?

drain/replace filter as you normally would...Wont ask what you've been smoking. Look out for the doom-mongers they will be falling over themselves on this one!

Can I drive it 1.5 miles to my nearest garage?

I wouldn't drive it....
Takes only a few basic tools to drop the oil.
On my car it's a 32mm socket for the oil filter and a 19mm spanner for the sump. EASY.
Do that rather than pay £150 at a garage.

What car is it?

If it's a £500 10 year old barge I'd probably risk 1.5 miles, especially if it is unleaded and not diesel. But it really is simple to drop the oil and not have to risk it at all...

Brake fluid would only be in the sump if it's not been started.
once you started it'll go around, wouldn't be surprised if it "could" "possibly" eat oil seals.

This (unless it's some clever dry-sump thingy)

Dont start it, it'll only make it worse

Really depends on what car & how much you have put in
