I use this crossing maybe once or twice a year. Since setting up an account, I keep getting e-mails from Dart charge telling me that my account balance is below the minimum £10 at £6.66. Why should I let them keep £10 of my money, that they can use to make money on, whilst I don't use their service?? I have to cross the bridge and come back later on today. Common sense would suggest that the balance will drop from £6.66 less 2 x £1.67 which will equal £3.32 still left in the account. What will they do if I cross and don't top up? A £1000 fine in the post, court summons, bailiffs at the door, an appearance on Crimewatch??

Ahh, I see, no compulsory requirement to keep £10 in their bank account, it's just that they would like you to do so. They can stuff that where the sun doesn't shine.

I get the same emails and yet my account has always been set to auto top up!
