Hi All

We need to meet some people for a bite to eat on a Sunday evening. I was thinking about the TW Bar and Grill, but will that be busy? If not can anyone suggest somewhere that will be please (that isn't a pizza chain!).

Many thanks

Perhaps a bit late this time, but I'd recommend TW Bar & Grill, food is brilliant. Alternatively Zapatas (I think) on the pantiles is great if you like Mexican.

I was going to book the TW. We've always done okay there, though the Tripadvisor write-ups are poor.

Admittedly the service wasn't great, but I think it was a Saturday night when I went and it was rammed. From memory the steak I had was really good though and it had a great atmosphere, so was worth the wait. I've eaten at 'The Tunbridge Wells Hotel' before as well on the Pantiles and was a bit more relaxed/calmer there, but equally very good food and service.

The Beacon out towards Langton Green (view is stunning but pricey, owned by Chapeldown) or if you want nearer town a new one and very good is The Warren on the high street.

La Casa Vecchia in The Pantiles is good and offers a decent steak - avoid Cau if you are after steak, it's rubbish.

If you want cheaper, there is great Sunday grub at The Ragged Trousers in the Pantiles.
