As the title says, really. Can anybody recommend someone who refurbishes alloy wheels in southern Essex? Only need one wheel doing.

I had one chap recommended to me who powder coats wheels, but he said this particular colour is hard to match. He said to try someone who will wet-paint the wheel. I know very little on the subject so had to take his word for it.

This is the wheel with damage...

Rapid Wheels, Southend. Did a quality job on all four 21" rims on my Porker Cayenne Turbo. Good price too.

Always get two done on one side of the car if you can.

It makes sure each side of the car matches.

Sometimes an odd wheel can stand out. Iyswim

Another vote for them.

I took my GTO there a few years ago and was very pleased with the results.

And they had some nice motors out there that were having their wheels done when i was waiting, including a gallardo and a 360 modena.

Thanks for all the recommendations. I dropped it off to Paint It Uk yesterday & they say it'll be ready Friday.
Once it's done I can then sell the wheels, so money well spent!

I would avoid using any firm that cannot match the factory finish of original wheels. If the wheels are non-factory then perhaps in some cases, betting both wheels done may be the best option.

Hi, maybe too late but for future reference may be if interest ....

I had a rim damaged thanx to an unfortunate incident where the mechanic dropped the socket from ramp hieght onto one the wheel chipping the paint in two places.

I took the wheel to Lepsons in Gillingham, along with another wheel for colour matching ... their repaired and painted the damaged wheel and I cannot tell the difference .... would suggest giving them a call if you still need assistance

Rgds ...

I used Lepsons once. Never again. The end result was very poor and their customer service was almost rude. Avoid at all costs.

I have to get two of the Black Edition Rims done on my Audi soon. Its a polished rim, so Im expecting a big bill.

Why, are you the owner? smile

I called them, v helpful lady named Rose IIRC answered, sent her pics, said they couldn't help.

They do a lot of work for a lot of main dealers and one Ferrari indie I know. I've heard nothing but positive reports on them.

No smile

Just thought i'd ask ant man to elaborate on his statement, I see he's yet to back it up yet.

Let's say I'm calling him out wink
