Hi,

We have looked at a couple of houses in Hullbridge but don't really know much about the village or anyone who lives there to ask! Has anybody on here got any info on what it is like to live there?

Cheers.

My mum lived there upto about 10 years ago , seemed a nice enough place . Walks along the estuary etc , pub on the front was a bit grotty but might be better now . Watery Lane (!) used to flood fairly regularly so maybe not move too near to that part . Its close to Battlesbridge so good for the summer car shows . Can't remember much else .

Potentially quite a few more houses coming to Hullbridge, might want to bear that in mind depending on where in the village your looking - Google Malyons Lane, Hullbridge if you want more info.

As OP said not much else to say about the place though. Relatively accessible but can get wet.

'quite a few more houses coming to Hullbridge'

About 500 to 600 IIRC.

I lived there from 1987 to 1995. Not much going on.

Thanks for the info. Another 500 houses is going to put a hell of a strain on the already busy infrastructure around there.

My Aunt and Uncle used to live there. Nice enough place.

Some of the residential roads off the main road down to the river are owned by the residents, not the HA or Council. I seem to recall all residents paying a nominal amount each year for upkeep which may or may not have been done.

This arrangement may well have changed but worth checking.
