Just on A127 between the A130 and Pound lane (bowers Gifford) going toward London and got flashed twice, no signs or markings and no stripes on the road. Has anyone else been flashed here, is it a hidden camera or are they setting one up.

I was doing about 80ish.

No signs or markings = no fine/points, I would suggest.

Sounds like a new one as I haven't seen it before.

Just spoke to "nice" lady at Laindon Traffic,it was a moblie camera hidden on the forecourt of the car lot at the end of Pound Lane, it is now going to be there every Tuesday because of the bikes at the Dick Turpin pub.

Didn't think there were any mobile scammeras on the A127 where it's NSL.

How about they target tailgaters and people who don't look before changing lanes - an often common problem I see on that road? Oh wait that would require effort and bring in less revenue. rolleyes

Went to the bike meet at the Dick Turpin a few weeks ago, on the way home we noticed that mobile camera. It was a dark blue Fiat (I think?) van, no visible markings, just a little money making camera set up at the front.

Only really saw it because I'm always wary of vans at the side of the road, especially when there's bikers around. Lots of cash for the BiB to make rolleyes

Essex police got a special dispensation from the gov. to allow concealed speed cameras on the A127. Its because of the ultra-high casualty rates on it.

Personally i always top out at 75 on the A127, its just not worth it any more.

Its a dark blue fiat van its always about the Basilden area on a Sat to catch the Southend cruisers (yes that includes me) normally in a layby on way there and under a bridge on way back but it does move, they also have a black 5 series unmaked.
