Shoot, hadn't noticed that. Luckily I think I was cursing at traffic when I went through there the other day so should be OK.

Thanks for the heads up on that one. Of course, the speed limit is so unrealisticly high along that stretch of the A20, isn't it? rolleyes

Are you sure it was up three weeks ago?The reason i ask,is because i came by there on monday, returning from the TVR track day at Brands and the yellow Gatso was still there.Yet when i came off there on Friday, the yellow Gatso had gone and was replaced by the camera,s on the over head gantry.

The overhead jobby has been there for at least 3 weeks - before Brands Im sure as I recall pointing it out to my passenger on the way home.

I heard the new ones were installed because the old ones had a burning tyre wrapped around them...shame!

NOT Specs !

I took a few pixs ... the toast gatso was up the road so I took a pix of that.

Upshot it is coincidence that the ANPR type cameras is in the same place as the old Gatso ..

Are these defo. ANPR? The same has happened on the A2, where most of the Gatso's have been cremated and these new things have appeared. I haven't seem a second set anywhere yet which you would need for them to work if they were Specs., so I was thinking along the same lines as ANPR, but it would be nice to be confirmed.

As with all the other threads on PH regarding these, they are ANPR cameras more than likely for Ken's low emission zone that starts in around 4 months time. All you white van men better remember to replace your vehicles with something newer than 2002 or be prepared to cough up £200 per day.

If you intend keeping it then make it something Euro 4 or better as an 02 vehicle will be no good in 2012.
