yesterday was a damn good hoot. Started dry, pickingg up the pace nicely then bang, rain! slippery as hell on slicks, but bloody good fun.
shall see you in a few hours and hopefully it wont be too bad
Hi guys, nice to meet you both today.
I thought we planned a good race and the readout reflected that. The spikes in the lap sheet were where we wanted them, on the refueling and driver change. Very consistant laps from both of you which is what endurance racing is all about. No point breaking the lap record then stuffing it into a tyre wall and losing 2 laps.
A podium would have been nice but we were up against some stiff competition. Even so 4th place against motor enthusiasts that do track days/race/drive sports cars can't be bad.
So well done all, great effort.
ps You will ache tomorrow.

Brilliant fun yesterday!
Great to meet you all too.
We clearly have a lot to learn from the lotus boys, but it was an excellent overtaking performance from us amateurs.
Well done to both Andy and Cotty who stuck some really quick laps in to get us and keep us in contention. 11th on the grid, to 4th overall surely makes us the best overtakers of the day if nothing else. Really satisfying and a good platform to build on for the next event. Lotus schhmotus....
Cheers for organising Lee - i hope it was worth the effort, it certainly was appreciated by the Kent/Essex crew.

was very good to meet you guys too, had an excellent evening.
racing was good and clean bar the first few laps for me, but loved every second of it and would have carried on happily for another hour or 3 at least!
Cotty and Flinty, great driving guys, overall consistency from all of us in the same time area per lap helped to a great showing, as Flinty said, start 11th, drop to 14th then up to 4th overall is nothing to be sniffed at, podium would have been the icing on the cake but considering the others out there it was deffinately a sterling effort. we must have made the most progress through the pack overall?
Lee, great planning and idea mate, as soon as theres another one i would be interested, and if i get to drive with Cotty and Flinty again i will be a happy man

I seem to be incapable of shrinking photos to fit this site. Yep, i'm IT useless.
I use Photobucket http://photobucket.com/ and upload the photos at 640 X 480 size so they dont compress. Just link from there and you will be fine. Gassing Station | Kent & Essex | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
