From what I can make out, that episode (or parts) was filmed in Summer 2007 - it looks like the A12 Boreham-Witham northbound stretch when they stop the Vectra.

Shame the police only bought the cheep Evo 8 with only 276BHP. They should have got the FQ300/320 or the FQ340 if they really wanted to go fast. Even then they still wouldnt be able to catch me.Its just as easy to outrun the Police helicopter, seeing as it only has a top speed of 138mph as long as the roads are empty lol

It max speed is 150 kt which is approximately 165mph. Add in the fact that they go in straight lines and there is no way anything is going to outrun the helicopter. No matter how hard you try.

Yeh but they are fully load choppers, so max speed not achievable.

Having flown a few EC120's and 135's, even at max AUW they will achieve VNE in level flight. Don't forget you have the benefit of gravity as well if you really need it.
