Glad you got the plate mounting sorted on the GT, can't believe we were lying on the floor in the dark car park.
I think Ken's got some action shots of me which I may have to buy off him to destroy hehe

Thanks everyone for the offers of help as well. For those who were wondering it was those star drive bolts in the end.

Sir Elms and the Miura got my vote for the car of the night. Even lower than the GT! You wouldn't want to be tall and be in one.

All very odd to be honest. Went out of Wapping the usual route and the usual speed, and at the rubber speed bump next to the Prospect there was a bit of a scrape and then the numberplate was under the car. Pulled it out a bit then sat on the A13 for 2 hours as someone had managed to shut it (bets on it being a biker anyone?)

Might go and have a look at the bump to see if the road has sunk on one side. I wonder what the chances of claiming off the council are? Very close to zero I bet....

Echo the above. Thanks to everyone who helped and Dion for bringing the Miura, although it's a pity I didn't get to see it in the light. I now have a lot of thinking to do. scratchchin

It was a super meet last night. Some new faces and a lot of regulars. Good to meet Brad and his 430 V Nice thumbup . I must join with the others the Muira is just superb. Keep this one for a while Sir Dion of Elm pleeeeese. There were some Beemers Mercs and a well preserved Spitfire as well not to mention the RAM which is about the size of Jupiter !!. Good to see them all.

I had the pleasure of a nice brace of cars outside my house for a while when Phil was fixing his car. Lambo,Ford GT matching Mini Cooper S's and my Fezza. The guys were very considerate pulling away but the sound of the Ford GT and the Lambo was just soooooperb, brilliant.

Finaly I can publish some pics.

And finally the picture they dared me to publish...... a very fine example of a Basildon Cleavage. Who ever mentioned a bare front was'nt a million miles out hehehehe

See you all next time

Ken

As a first timer i can say it was a very good evening, many thanks to all for making us feel welcome and there was a very nice selection of cars, well worth the drive over.

How often do you guys do these meets?

And to Gav, a good cruise home, but old porsche's shouldnt be driven that quick!

Heres to next time.

Looking at this from a bystanders perspective; a group of 20 or so men arranged to meet in a pub car park - it's worrying that PB's rear end caused almost as much a stir as the Miura. biggrin

Thanks for posting up the pics chaps, looks like I missed a great evening...

The X6 looks tiny next to that behemoth!! hehe Wish it felt like it from behind the wheel!

Shame I had to rush off, but needed to get snapping.... will try to make the next one with no work to do!

PS Another vote for that Muira: Gorgeous, and actually the first time I've ever sat in one. 'Interesting' driving position, lovely gearchange thumbup
