Hi All, just moved out here with my job and have my classic cars (a Series 2 Land Rover and an MGB GT V8) arriving soon.

Anyone else in this neck of the woods?

Out in the "Boonies" - sorry Squire, most of us 'ex pats' live near civilization biggrin

What takes you to AR - bit off the beaten path for most?

The job has brought me here, home of the worlds largest retailer, Walmart.

Ark is turning out far better than I thought, great quality of life down here and only a couple of hours flight to LA or NYC. Early days but loving it so far. Just need to get into the classic scene which seems mostly hot rods and customs.

Ah - Uncle Sam/ASDA....

Been here 20 years myself (not by choice initially) but ended up settling up here due marrying a local girl.
Have to admit, life has not been too bad. The US was better in 1994 than it is now - cost of living/wages were totally different to the UK back then, having said that, you will have a blast.
It’s a very different lifestyle to the UK – but change is always fun.

If you ever stray to Chicago, drop me a line and I will show you the ‘city with big shoulders’.

Cheers
