Is there anyone here on PH with contacts in Canadian based mining industries looking for summer 'co-op' work student?
He's a Masters' student at UBC and needs a placement to finish his degree (all self funded!). Preferably in mining finance but would take any related field (could be mine based or pure finance with a minerals interest). Can work from 4 weeks - 52 weeks as long as it's recognised as a co-op placement and he can do a project. Has the visa, pad in Vancouver, good grades so far but it's all in the balance resting on work experience. Previously received degree at CSM Falmouth.
He's getting nervous as his funds run lower...worst case scenario he heads home and goes back to being a lab rat!
Anyhow, PH often throws up interesting contacts so hence my plea - further details can always be provided.

Has he tried any of the Potash companies ? Saskatchewan or New Brunswick mainly .
As far as we know he's spread his net wide and long...regrettably the 'extraction' sector is in one of it's down curves and it's poor timing.Thanks for your input though - we'll be passing it on.
