Hi, We're looking at extending our lease on the house we rent and previously the company sorted out all issues like this. I know that sometimes when selling the seller pays the buyers and sellers fees, but did not know if this is true for renting?

The landlord hires the realtor. The realtor is paid to keep the place rented and therefore the money rolling in. The obligation is for the landlord to pay the realtor and not you.

Thanks, The realtor for the house is talking with us, but the realtor who placed us in this house wants to be part of it and I don't want to pay him, hence the reason for me asking the question. I can negotiate myself and cut him out as it only adds in extra cost I think
