This is a strange one, I'll give you that!

I need some Kool Aid, and ebay isn't being terribly helpful if the truth be known. So I was wondering if there is a nice PHer out there who would be able to A)tell me how much the darn stuff is over there, and B) if its not too expensive, would they be nice enough to send over a couple of boxes.

Full payment for the Kool Aid, Shipping and any other expenses incurred would of course be given. And you'll have the satisfaction of knowing you've made a PHer the happiest little fairy around.

biggrin

Thank you biggrin

Berry blue, grape, cherry, that sort of thing.

Thanks so much!

I know that some places sell it when its out of date at some ridiculous price - I use it to dye wool with (the stuff is very VERY strongly coloured!) so it doesn't matter if its in date or not.

(never get it on your skin, I had orange and blue hands for a week.....)

Kool-Aid comes in two different forms:

1. The unsweetened kind, sold in little packets. You add your own sugar when you mix it.

2. The pre-sweetened kind that comes in a large round tin with a resealable top.

The small packets are the easiest to ship, naturally. What flavours do you need? I can get 5 packets for $1.00 and the round tins are about $3.00 each.

Maybe we can work out a trade? Like the different flavours of Lucazade? We can only get the Original Flavour here at the specialty import grocer's.

I already have a local source for McVittie's biscuits in all varieties! It's the many flavours of Lucozade I can't seem to get. I can find Original Flavour but that's all.

Where do you live and where do you get them from? Price etc?

The only ones I have found are in a tiny store and they want $4 for the small packs which have like 12 biscuits in them.

Thanks again

Andy

Cool Aid is really cheap. You should get some ice tea mixed also.

I'm sure the ice tea mix is delicious (and one day I will try it!) but I use Kool Aid to dye wool (its a very very good acid free dye!) so be very afraid when you drink it!

Well never mind then. That is an interesting use for Kool Aid! I never heard of that, but I ahve spilled it on me while wearing a white t-shirt. Just be sure to put a lot of sugar in the ice tea mix. You want it ungodly sweet to make southern ice tea!wink

I have seen Smuckers in a number of Shops in the UK, I used to buy it from "Lets Eat" (I think!) in Milton Keynes Central Shopping Center - not sure if thats any help to you or not - but I know what it's liek to miss stuff - I know live in Oz- and trust me HP Sauce, PROPER Marmite and Colemans Mustard are all very much akin to gold wink
