I went on a quick 5mi ride just after breakfast this morning, passed through one of the new underpasses near the Hammer Lane Junction, the Canadian Memorial Underpass to be precise, I made exhaust noises with my mouth as I peddled harder...

and funnily enough on the topic of the underpass, here's my take on it, when it was slightly colder though!



Certainly looking forward to an opening run! Not sure the Skoda will be on the same db's as others, maybe the bikes a better bet! None the less Im tagging along (unless Im away, which is quite poss. seeing as every time any thing happens Im pre occupied! ) Fingers crossed for this though!

Well, if you reckon 1.5mins, I must be 1min as I'm already on the Hindhead road!

I'd be looking forward to one too, but with an only just sub-12sec 0-60 time, I might get in the way, I do however have a farty exhaust (standard), but it sounds better around 2,000rpm...

they are hoping for the 6th July for the southbound tunnel followed a few days later by the northbound tunnel (the road needs to rearranged!!

The normal operating limit for the tunnel will be 70mph.

haha, if it really is going to be 70mph then I suspect there will a fair few crashes as most drivers can't actually drive safely.

70 through there for the majority of drivers is positively unsafe IMHO if the standard of driving round here is anything to go by......

I think there should be special rules, if your car is wearing a Smiley then the limit should be 100. If your car is not wearing a Smiley then you cant enter the tunnel. So when do I get the job in the Ministry?
