Yep , it was open first thing but closed again by the time I got back so I had to detour to the Bramshill area which means queueing for the roadworks around that area , I wouldn't mind but it's hardly Spaghetti junction they are making , just a bit of access work for the new gravel works in Coopers Hill , they really need to pull their finger out Grrrrrrr ! anyway back to Historic racers.

so can you just walk in and have a look, or do you need to know someone who can let you in? i drive past the airport every day and have thought about stoping by.

Drive past the bca security hit and keep following signs for kart track. You could drive up right next to the set or park 100 yards down by the car trailers.

Just popped down. Looks like they are filming for the next two weeks, but probably not this weekend.
No cars 'on track' today .
The pits, complete with pretty much all the 70's team transporters is spooky !, almost as freaky as the grandstand of dummies !!!!

http://www.flickr.com/photos/69723961@N03/?saved=1they were taken by an iphone so the quality isnt that great. it was quiet cool watching a movie being made, a long drawn out process, filming for only a fue seconds before cutting. but i did get to see 'the tallent' Daniel Brühl, Chris Hemsworth and Ron Howard. i may only be 33 but everytime i see rh i still think of happy days. like i said pics arnt that good but hope you enjoy my little contribution.

Bought the book 'In The Name Of Glory' a few weeks ago although, shamefully, I havent read it yet. The photo's of the cars are excellent. More please!

So is it going to be a real historic car or just a fibre glass/metal mockup for Lauda's car, which will be set on fire ?

Went up for a look this morning. Some great cars and very evocative 1970's pits , period Ferrari drivers, fans and vehicles all over the place ! If you are going, they are very 'public friendly' but security would like us to keep the speed down to 15 MPH with hazards on once you get past the Market entrance.
