I'd be up for Bedford on the 18th. Better than Brands Indy IMHO (these being the only two tracks I have driven as it happens!). The Indy circuit is good for Paddock Hill bend but apart from that its a bit short with only three other turns (ok technically four wink). Its fun but Bedford holds more interest for me.

Which trackday providers are you looking at? How much?

Brands i'd like to do but the short nature of course is off putting

Easytrack for 18th - 199 gbp

I did Snetterton last w/e - good fast track but didn't know the track but good day out not too dissimilar to Rockingham or Bedford

I'd be up for Bedford! (depending on price). Been there twice and while it's a very flat track it's pretty technical and has something of interest for pretty much every type of car, fast open bends, tight hairpins, long straight, shorter straights etc.

Brands is a good track (don't be put off by it being quite short. It's easy to learn but hard to get it just right) but I'll be there in December for a Mazda on Track track day biggrin

Cheers EJ.

I'm up for booking Bedford driving

Quite like the look of Snetterton. Fair old trek though isn't it? Norfolk?

Did Brands in the wet yesterday which was nice if a little slippy biggrin

Agreed the indie layout is short but mastering Brands is hard and given the length of the circuit you can get into a nice rhythm that you can't with somewhere as long as Bedford. Also, to do paddock hill bend properly requires some man size balls, nothing of this nature at Bedford.

That said, there is a corner for everyone at Bedford but being flat as a pancake and literally no bumps, camber or anything (converse to Brands, bumps and dips in the braking zones everywhere) it can get tiresome.

All this said, I'm booking up that day at Bedford so hopefully see some of you there...

Booked !

Bedford is flat but has a variety of challenging corners and is not far from home for me.

Driving Snetterton just confirmed to me that i would keep going to Bedford unless a day comes up at w/e for the full course at Brands, Silverstone, Goodwood, Donny etc

Took less than 2 hours to get to Snetterton its only 140 miles for me

TVR's have got onto the track at Bedford and then short shifting gets you through the day !!

Yes, does need a colour change - its is currently many shades of black with bits of red
