i think it's now the Ancient Forester.

looks generic from outside but as i walk straight by i have no idea if it's any good inside

It is the ancient forester again, it used to be called that before square bar but hasn't readopted the traditional theme it orginally had. I think it may be of alternative orientation now!

just resurrecting this thread as i noticed today it has changed name again, it is now "the bear"

And it's probably still a dive! Went there a few months ago on one of the very rare nights out with the wife...... Full of people I would probably deal with at work. One pint and left
