They're bloomin rare to see out on the roads. Only around 2,500 made, and over 30 years old. Can't be too many still roadworthy (as they were never as lusted after as the Esprit), so a very good spot.

The car fleet people a work had an EV showcase the other day and I was talking to Tesla's UK & Ireland boss. He said they're taking orders now and RHD deliveries are due to start in July.

Just followed Rowan Atkinson down the M40, onto the M25 then onto the M4 in his F1 in the streaming rain. Only the 2nd one of these I've seen on the road so that made my day

That is such a beautiful car.

I recall seeing him, and the car, many years ago, stuck in traffic on the M25. I was in lane 1, which was crawling along slightly faster than lane 2, when I drew up alongside Mr Atkinson. I was chuffed, as it was the first time I'd seen an F1 'in the wild'. When I (finally) got home, and told the wife I'd seen Edmund Blackadder himself, she wouldn't believe me. Either that, or she wasn't really interested.

The fact that he uses the car so often, and doesn't seem overly 'precious' about it is brilliant. Superb spotting!

Just after I took that picture he came across two lanes. I must say that for the whole time i was following him, his driving was spot on, very aware of what was going on around him and great lane discipline.

Just a shame it was wet as I didn't get to hear that V12
