I moved to Esher last week and the car spotting is off the scale. Today alone I saw: four 458s, three 12Cs, countless 991s including a very nice new GTS model. Did spot someone on the M25 near Leatherhead in a silver scooby wagon with a black smiley about 11:30am. Finally parked neat Waitrose this evening I saw a Corvette Z06.

Me smile (Thanks for the hint KrisD)

PH smiley isn't black though, it's silver although the car is very dirty at the moment.

Yep, that was me again. smile

Was very surprised to see the sticker on your back bumper. Not what I would imagine most PHers would expect to be sporting the badge but I guess if you're travelling along the King & Queens Rd much its perfect.

Actually, most of the time it's just tootling up and down the M4 or going into the town. The Insight is quite a PH kind of car in the sense that the engineering was almost no-expense spared (first hybrid in the UK, all aluminium, use of magnesium etc - so even with batteries, it weighs about the same as an S2 Elise), and though it's by no means fast, it handles surprisingly well and is quite fun to drive. I ripped out the seats and replaced them with S2000 leather seats (+added seat heating), and pootling around on the motorway it will get a real world 80mpg without trying too hard.

The first time I had a proper look around an Insight was at a PHSS at Brooklands, and I just thought it was really cool smile

More details on the car here if anyone's interested smile - http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=139...

Quite ironic that McLaren called their supercar P1, their F1 team probably cannot remember what P1 means.
