yes, it was cold! so yes, it was very loud at that point.

And yes, I very nearly took out the idiot with no lights but saw him at the last second.

This was from a few weeks back. Good to see these beasts get daily use rather than being garage queens.

It wasn't Chris Evans was it? I managed to get a photo last time he was about in one like that. I think it's on here so where?
No, defo not Chris. I've not seen him round for a little while now. It was an old chappie and his Mrs. Sadly not close enough to get a good look. I'd have jumped in front of him just to chat to him smile

Yep - Got it in October and sold the Mazda! I've been meaning to put a new smiley on it for a while, so I drew one on (badly).

Good write up on the 2 cars.

I'd read somewhere that you'd sold the Mazda but got confused whether you'd bought a TVR or an Elise.

Explained.

What's the "serpentine" bit mean ?

Thank you smile

Yeah - I thought it would be easier to just run one thread for both of the cars. As it happened, we collected them on the same weekend too haha.

As I understand it (and I really am not a technical person!) Serpentine was a variant of the Rover V8. It was meant to be more 'reliable' than the pre-Serpentine blocks that went into earlier Chim's and Griff's. A quick search summary I found suggests that they have a more efficient oil pump, run a better alternator and run at more extreme angles than some carbs (hope that makes some sense!)

Pulled up next to a tuned M4 on the A331 this afternoon.
Graphics on the front wing said: AMD Conversion. 575bhp, 0-60 3.1 seconds.

It sounded incredible as he floored it away.
