Yeah - I thought it would be easier to just run one thread for both of the cars. As it happened, we collected them on the same weekend too haha.
As I understand it (and I really am not a technical person!) Serpentine was a variant of the Rover V8. It was meant to be more 'reliable' than the pre-Serpentine blocks that went into earlier Chim's and Griff's. A quick search summary I found suggests that they have a more efficient oil pump, run a better alternator and run at more extreme angles than some carbs (hope that makes some sense!)
