I've been away so I've not been down that road for a couple of weeks. Green Corsa is in the same spot so maybe it is the same idiot. That road is pretty busy and is a coach route to LHR, if you get two coaches passing it's very tight! When I reported the white Acc(id)ent, there were roadworks opposite which made a real pinch point.

No, not like this one. I love R8's for the record they are stunning cars (This is a bit Essex though not my cuppa). But this thing has what I can only describe as a stainless steel straight through pipe fitted. He also drives around like an 18 year old in a corsa with a loud back box fitted. All the way through Woking I can hear him dipping the clutch and stabbing the throttle or leaving it in 2nd gear and accelerating to 7000 rpm, then back down again and so on so forth. It doesn't sound good it sounds terrible.V8s are made to be loud
Well it was an accident waiting to happen, the Corsa is now in the hedge on its left with from what I could tell from down by the roundabout(I was waiting to turn into the road with the tyre place) the rear end stoved in ! I didn't look at it for long as my attention was diverted by a black Lola T70 (?)burbling along heading into Woking, I believe it is a real one as I know somebody locally has a collection of them.

I see this guy around occasionally and he certainly appears a massive bellend. I'm not sure it is jealousy either, if it was an 18 year old in a Corsa I would still think he was a massive bellend. And it does sound st, not in a nice V8 rumble way, in a stty noise for the sake of noise way.
Thankyou!Whilst I wouldn't park there as it's a busy road the owner isn't contravening any parking regs. Every other road nearer the town centre is pay & display, so I can see why they park there.
The people to blame are the council as the area included for chargeable parking is far too large. Another case of a council mugging the motorist. The council then wonders why shops close down as the customers go to out of town centres or buy online.

I'm stumped by this - someone said it had been lifted and moved? If so then unlawfully, I suspect that was an assumption on someone's part in this thread.
There are no parking restrictions there, it is not a red route and parking there does not obstruct the road.
Whilst it may be an odd place to park it remains a place that can be parked on, so there is no issue with it.

But it is not signposted from the Woking end.
In addition, there are double yellow lines that run around 30 metres in length from the Woking end which finish and leave blank road (which is where the car's in this thread have been parking). If it was a properly and correctly signposted clearway, why would the council have needed to place a short section of double yellow's in by the roundabout at the Woking end?
I maintain, even if it is a clearway, that is not sufficiently signposted as such, rendering it unenforceable. This would appear to be the view of the council themselves too, judging by their decision to place a small section of double yellow lines at one end.
