Its been a few months since I organised the last run out, so thinking of arranging another on Easter Sunday.

Appreciate some will have family commitments or be away so I may have to postpone if the numbers don't work.

I have a route planned which starts at Newbury services on M4 and ending at Reading services on M4, eastbound. Nearly 100 miles, of mainly A and B roads, with occasional dual carriageways and motorway section. Google maps says 2hrs 30 mins but likely to be less than that, brief comfort break halfway through for coffee.

Leave 6.30 am sharp before roads get busy, finish by 9.00am so plenty of time to enjoy the rest of the day.

So who is in? biggrin

We can go earlier or later depending on what the majority want. If we go later the roads will start to get busy, earlier and no-one will be arsed getting out of bed - although there is bank holiday Monday if people are worried about missing a lie in!

I'd maybe start a bit earlier given its BH and some people will be trying to get an early start. 6.30 should be fine tbh.

It was fun last time. Don't think we set off till near 7 last time anyway and that was with 2 of us rushing to get there.

Maybe less flood and more cars this time eh?

Provisionally, I'm up for this. My issue is whether my car is mended in time. Hit a chunk of roofing lead on the A33 this afternoon, took out my air con condenser and a large chunk of bumper. Not to mention all three plastic grille trims around the bottom.

Enjoyed the last one (despite the floods!) so I'd like to join you again. My MR2 will be in for suspension work so I'll probably take my XJ6 - hope there's not too many narrow roads tongue out

Of course, all welcome, no matter what you drive - geekman is combining his hoon with an airport run smile I promise a snorkel won't be required this time..

Sorry to hear about your car Jonathan - hopefully not too expensive to fix.

Will confirm time later in the week, if you are unsure if you are a 'maybe' please still add yourself to the list below and put TBC so I have an idea of numbers.

Cheers

You must have been out before that on Sunday!! I joined the convoy somewhere near Lechlade I think in the Porsche Spyder.

I followed you all until Evesham when you looked like you were all heading in to the River Avon, so I checked back and got myself in to Malvern at 8.45.

Right gents, there doesn't seem to be much interest but I will still go out for a drive on Sunday morning. Are any maybe's able to confirm?

For those still coming, meet in Newbury services from 6.30am for a 6.45am depart.

In hindsight, perhaps a run out tomorrow morning would have been better for people?! Its a bit late in the day but if this is more preferable to people, happy to look at changing days.

I'm good for Sunday.

Front end is still a mess, but the brakes etc are all done. Whole job lot and fixes for the MOT cost me around £1k. Not all damage from the same incident... but other bits and pieces... including replacing a snapped spring.
