I'll be putting my beetle through its MOT tomorrow (it's been hibernating over winter). If it passes muster (and the weather looks OK) then I can bring it along?

New Beetle RSi

Funnily enough I work in Stoke Poges (Hitachi), so it'll be a good opportunity to show the kids where I work!

No probs Tony. And the weather will be amazing. I think I saw you out on a Tunnel run a couple of years ago. There are not many like yours around.

Yup, it'd have been me! I haven't done a tunnel run in ages, though now the kids are a bit older it might be the perfect time to introduce them to the addiction that is tunnel running! smile

Yay! It passed (with a couple of advisories), result!

Feel's more nippy than I remember. Now I need to lavish some attention on it before the fete! smile

I'm unfortunately going to have to pull out of this event.

I was greeted by a most unwelcome sight this morning - the head lining is sagging and looks unsightly! I've been to my local car interior specialist and he can't get to it until next week.

Sorry, maybe next year!

I must admit, I'm hesitating a bit myself - the weather isn't looking very promising!

I'll remember that when I have to swim home biggrin

Has anything changed from your post below with regards to starting times etc?

Rough plan as for new comers is this
Arrive by 11.45 if you want to arrive earlier you are more than welcome. Park up and have some flower tubs placed around your car. Then you are free to wonder around, pitch up at the beer tent and watch things happen. Or if you want to do your bit to help we will be offering paying passenger trips around the village. Indemnity forms are signed by the passengers. circuit last 5 mins odd. don't feel you have to do it all day.

The fete starts at 12 and finishes at midnight In an ideal world you could stay until 16.30 but if you could spare an hour or two then that's great. or if you want to stay for all the evening entertainment even better.

Bring the family along we have Beer tent, Displays, stalls, Zorbing, Dog show, bouncy castles the list is pretty huge

Photographers from the local papers do the rounds and Bucks TV will be there asking questions etc.

Bucks air ambulance is due to do a short display in the afternoon and fingers crossed the Royal Navy will be popping along with something fun.

Postcode of the location is SL2 4LN

Stoke Poges School
Rogers Lane

If you need more info shout it up.
A pic of your car would be great as I update the facebook page with who is coming along

I have been reliably informed by the helicopter pilot that the rain will be around from 07.00 - 10.00 then it brightens up and Suffolk gets all the crappy weather.

Bugger. I got my MOT dates mixed up and the Lambo has lapsed. That's something for me to fix this week. I'll bring a Ferrari instead (it's a bit livelier anyway to be honest).

Edit: Booked in now for 11am. I'll try to get over in it assuming it passes but that won't be until midday at least now.

Glorious weather now with a surprisingly large amount of cars considering the weather forecast, I thought more would pull out but I'm glad they haven't. It's between the orange Challenger and the V12 Vantage as to my favourite car of the day.
