My parents (mid 60's) are coming for a visit. I would like to take my dad out for some father / son stuff and was wonderng if there was anything local that you guys would recommend. He is a car nut, so car related would be awesome. I was kind of thinking one of these supercar experience days, but they all look dodgy on the internet so looking for recommendations. Any other thoughts also welcome

I would say this. Not been myself but heard good things from friends.

Went to Mercedes Benz world the other week with the kids, nice couple of hours. If you want a good supercar day, 6th Gear at Cobham/Longcross is really good, couple of people I know have been and had a great time, also a good selection of cars

I bought experiences for my kids and they enjoyed themselves. They have a skid pan, a short track and an off road course. Plus they have a pretty good museum inside the showroom.

Brooklands is good too.

Might be worth checking the diary at Goodwood or Thruxton - there may be an event on you can go and see.

Another vote for Merc world - loads to look at, half decent coffee and driving / passenger experiences (well worth booking in advance during school hols). You've also got the brooklands hotel over the road to get a decent lunch / afternoon tea at.

The parking you mention, is there a specific place you know of, or just find on street parking?
I'm keen to visit in the coming weeks too

On street parking but in designated bays and its a nice area.

Drive stright past the front (big gun, you cant miss it) and its just ahead of you

There were meters but not charging on a Sunday.

There's the Goodwood Breakfast Club on this Sunday, if he's here then.

Did this with my Dad just before the Silverstone GP, added bonus of bumping into Lewis Hamilton twice whilst wandering around MBW smile We spent the morning looking around Brooklands, then headed over to MBW for lunch and then a wander around the cars in the afternoon. Perfect.
