Very non-PH topic.... but any recommendations for good places to get xmas tree around surrey...? I am thinking along the lines of independent places that you a) need to drive to and b) arent major chains to avoid paying an arm and a leg.

Thanks

We always get ours from Longacres garden centre, near Bagshot / Windlesham.

The place in between St Peters Hospital and their Ambulance depot. Always a good choice, go earlier in the month of poss.

On the A320, you have to access it from the Ottershaw -> M25 direction.

If you want a part day out, decorations, kiddy stuff etc then try Santa Fir Xmas tree farm near Shamley Green / Guildford. You can walk around and choose what you want seeing it stood up.

My folks have been going to these guys since before i can remember and they've always been decent quality and not too expensive.

Same, we always get ours from here
When we moved into the area (nearly 15 years ago) we got ours from this place. A good indie with decent stock and sensible prices.

We then moved to Longacres and got some good trees over the years.

Now we go to the Surrey Heath conservancy 'cut' in Lightwater. Help them trim the pine saplings and take a tree for yourself. Not stunning quality but most of it is the 'adventure' of cutting your own tree with the kids. Last year it was an 8ft specimin which was pretty good for a fiver smile

We get ours from the Yattendon Estate.

Not the cheapest , but excellent trees.
