Thinking of a mobile guy maybe, only on the Jaag so doesn't have to be a proper tyres off massive job although that'd be ideal I suppose but 20" might be a bit big for some.

Travelling and waiting would be ok too if necessary.

Any recommendations please?

I used these guys The Wheel Wizard. They did a great job repairing a large dent/scuff in a diamond cut wheel. I'd trust them again with specialist work. They're in Cobham.

Crikey they're literally around the corner from me. 100 quid a wheel which is a bit strong but having spoken to them it's clear they have a proper process so it's booked in next week. Looking forward to it!

Thanks for the info.

I've used them several times and they are great.
In that case I'll give them a try next time I have some wheels in for a refurb

They will be handy for me as I'm often in the area

I used them back in 2012 and the wheels looked great. Been getting a few corrosion spots for a while now, paint seems a bit thin!

I've also used wheel wizard for repairing a large crack in an alloy wheel, and have been impressed by the durability of the repair

Hi,

For what it is worth to the op or other/future readers - Picked the merc up from wheel wizard this evening and very pleased with the weld repair the did. It is of course dark but using the light on my phone it looks great.

I hit a curb quite badly rather than just parking damage as you can see in the before shot. My wheels are diamond cut on the fans and edge so it was rather more than a standard wheel polish and paint, plus the level of damage required the weld. The repair was £130+vat + a rebalance charge.

Sadly While it was in they found it had buckled slightly too, and on checking the other wheels found 2 were also slightly buckled. Now, there is buckled and really noticeably dented, and mine were only slightly out of shape however I suspect this was the cause of the slightly bouncy ride I hace had since buying the car (it's super hard suspension too so a moderate pothole at speed probably did for the other wheels with the previous owner). The cost of repairing the buckled wheels was £170+vat for 3 wheels. Now, some will say you shouldn't do the repair but they talked me through their process and I had a bit of a further read; these guys do such repairs the proper way slowly heating the reforming in a way that would not cause weakening. Will of course let forum know if I have any issues! However on the drive home the rise was notably a little calmer.

I was due to have 2 new front tyres fitted but mytyres.com's shipping agent appears to have lost them and they haven't turned up over a week later so will have to find a fitter next week! That would have been about £17.50+ vat for the wheel they weren't stripping anyway or nothing for the one they were repairing as the tyre had to come off.

All in all very pleased with what seem to be an extreamly professional outfit. They dont leave cars on jacks while working on them but put spares on having a wide selection. Lots of high end cars in and repeat business. Only thing I would say is the car is covered in dust outside and wheels are still a grubby from the repairs; would have been nice if they could have given them a bit of a clean. Edit - car was filthy but wheels weren't that bad - just some dust and a bit of tyre soap.

Will check everything in he morning.

Good to hear about a decent outfit reasonably close and interesting to read their opinion on powder coating vs painting when refurbing alloy wheels. I may use them to get my TVR Spiders painted this year.

Lepsons are my goto place for wheels and they are regarded as the best by many but they are in Gillingham which isn't the greatest journey from these parts.

I was in earlier today as well.
I'm dropping the Infiniti in on Wednesdsy to get all the wheels done.
I spoke to a guy called John, seemed very helpful. Bit pricey but I assume the job is top notch so don't mind that.

Yep got the car yesterday and the job is firs class. There was a little straightening out to do and a crack to weld but the result very good. The lady I dealt with was a perfect example of customer sevice and was knowledgable. I also dealt with a bloke who they would do well to keep away from the customers as he nearly derailed the whole deal by trying claim balancing was an optional extra (quote was for drive in drive out service) to cream a few more quid on top.

Fortunately the woman smoothed over this and got it back on track and I'm very glad she did. The wheels look like new and you really couldn't ask for more than that.

So my recommendation is to use these guys, their process and finish is spot on. Now it's time to get the 911 over there as I noticed somehow I've kerbed that! and those wheels looked like new frown

Wow the sun is shining today, every time I catch the car out of the window I'm still shocked by the improvement! Shame the crappy Jaguar wheel centres I bought off eBay for a fiver rattle in the holes!

Honestly I couldn't have wished for a better job.
