Would seem that this is the place to avoid today, various Traffic England alerts have arrived in my mailbox this afternoon.
Grass fire on verge, accidents etc. Saying normal service will be resumed at 4.45 pm, so clearly whatever has happened is not minor.

I'm reading that there was fairly major heath fire, and rubber-neckers crashed whilst looking at the fire....

I saw something on Facebook from a woman claiming to be the wife of the van driver. Apparently he walked away with just a cut to his head eek

I heard the same from a different source.
Lucky man. Will teach him to watch where he is going.

Yesterday was fking busy!
M25 and M3 were awful, traffic chaos throughout the rush hour and beyond.
I felt sorry for those affected, at least I was getting paid

I have a friend who works in Colnbook and lives in Farnborough, she was just saying that the M25 was as bad as the M3.
NO way I could do that commute, I used to do it, but not any more.

The M25 around there is either gridlocked or fine, there's rarely a time when there's just a little bit of traffic. I used to work in Cobham and use the M25 daily and it was a nightmare, I now use the M3 and that only really snarls up around the M25 junction for me so that bloody motorway is still the bane of my commuting life mad

Looks like a major grass fire in Chobham now, unsure if that will affect things, I know that it has in the past!

Avoid the M3 at all costs. Hampshire emergency service dealing with a lorry fire and a closure had been put in place at junction 3 southbound

Right then. Any chance we can NOT have another fire on the M3 tomorrow please? I would like to get home at a reasonable time if possible!

I agree, no fires tomorrow please, took me almost an hour to get from Cloche Hat/Stovells Chobham to Woking today!

Yesterday Sunningdale was a joke!
