Just popped out to lunch, on the way back, M4 closed at Junction 12 (London Bound) and traffic being turned around and brought off the motorway up the on-slip.
Apparently an overturned concrete mixer, they reckon on the HA agency it will be closed for a couple of hours.

Its a pity the highways agency / highways authority don't respond to pot holes and failing road surfaces in general that quick / if ever.

There again someone's insurance will pick the tab up for that mess anyway.

Fully reopen by 1600hrs according to local news about 1 hour ago.
They have had to re-surface as well as repair barriers.
Knock-on effect was heavy traffic through Reading last night and this morning
Cheers, Pewe.

Not just through Reading. My journey home yesterday from Kingsclere via Tadley, Mortimer, Swallowfield to Wokingham was the worst it's been in the 8+ years I've been driving it, especially Beech Hill Road approaching B3349 at Spencers Wood where it was tailing back about a mile.
