James May wrote recently on his decision to plonk a deposit on a new 458 Speciale, describing the scene:
"Smoke poured from the back of my man-maths calculator as I made this case to Woman, whose arms remained resolutely folded throughout"

A similar (though sadly, on a very different scale) man-maths problem presents itself - if I could persuade SWMBO to let me buy another car or two, where would I put them? In an ideal world, I'd like a mate with a farm who has a bit of spare barnage that could accommodate a couple of motors neatly tucked in the corner and covered up, but I doubt I'd be so lucky.

I've seen a couple of ads for places that are maybe a little more kitted out than I'd need, looking for £50+pw; now spending £2.5k pa on storage of something that is probably not appreciating at anything like such a rate is probably not going to get Woman's approval. Any other ideas/suggestions/recommendations?

Just don't tell her?

£2,500 a year isn't massive in the grand scheme of things so surely something she'd let slide if discovered?

I wouldn't mind being a £1 behind James May.

I know a car storage facility close to M4 Jct 11 (Reading) which for an average size car is about £100 per month.

Ouch!!! Reading some of these replies are bringing my wallet out in a panic. I pay £140/month to store 4 cars. They need 30 mins notice if I want to take a car out. I've even dropped cars off after midnight and they've been there to look after me.

No, they don't have any spare spaces and there are people who have been waiting 2 years for a space.
