Does anybody know where I can get rid of half a dozen old car batteries.
I have heard that recycling/scrapyards will pay you for then,
I am based in Reading.

I left 2 old car batteries in my front drive 2 weeks ago.
When I came home that same day, they had gone.

I assume the Irish scrappies that drive around in their vans took them. Who knows.

Same. I left my old one outside near the wheelie bin - gone the next day

I use Berkshire Parts & Panels for small motoring related items and batteries, they used to collect the old batteries and give £5 per battery.

Give them a call 0118 981 7555

I think German Swedish and French also give you money for old batteries.
