Mercedes independent - Berkshire - ideally near Reading

As per thread title.. I'm after a Mercedes specialist near-ish to Reading for a service.

There's a place on Hemdean Rd in Caversham that has been there forever. Never used them personally.

In the early days of MB ownership we used John Griffiths in Caversham and were really pleased with them.

I believe there's also Star Motors but I've no personal experience of them.

I`ll 2nd John Griffiths of Caversham,used them a number of times,very good service,excellent mechanics.They totally transformed the front suspension on my SL320,drives like a different car.
They also are happy to give advice and do a five minute "adjuster job" free of charge if I just turn up,nice bunch of blokes.

We use an absolutely fantastic Merc mechanic. Until recently he was the Service Manager at the Merc main dealers but has just started out on his own.

He's Windlesham based but offers a mobile service. Very inexpensive and knows all Mercs inside out and only uses genuine parts.

I ought to check that he's ok with me giving his details out but let me know if you want them.

My mums been using Star motors in Caversham for over 20 years, historically for her W124 and more recently for her SLK. She speaks very highly of Ian and his team.

I'd like his details too as I have a Merc that needs servicing before sale and I'm just down the road from Windlesham.

I've checked and Graham doesn't mind me putting his number on here. He's a Master technician and has just left a Merc main dealer where he has completed 28 years of service.

I'd very highly recommend him and I've no connection other than being a very happy customer.

Just to add that Graham came round, did a sterling job and the cost was very reasonable too.

I have a friend at work with a jerky transmission issue on his 08 C320CDi. Apparently transmissions are a specialist subject for Graham, so I've recommended him on. Thanks Bazza!
