I'm planning on heading down to the Fast museum for midday with my 2.5yr old. Hope to see a few of you guys there as well. I missed out on seeing XH558 at Wings and Wheels on the Sunday so think I deserve one last sight of her flying!

The museum is at the end of the main runway on the main Farnborough Road (A325). It's right beside The Swan pub which is currently closed for refurbishing and surrounded by hoarding.

Is it done and dusted after the end of October then? As in its not a question of funding, rather the thing will literally NEVER fly again?

Have a read of the thread on the aircraft in the "Planes" forum. The matter has been discussed extensively there.

Money is not the issue (any more than it ever was).

I'll be there at the museum shortly smile

Sorry I haven't organised anything, been at a classic car do at Hartley Wintney with no signal this morning.

There should be parking in the surrounding area, if not down near my shop at GU146AA, that's a 5 min walk from the museum.

See you all there smile

Saw it departing. Very nice. There was a lovely MGA parked in the museum area too.

Shame she didn't stay over Farnborough just a bit longer, but at least I've now seen her.
