I know it is fast becoming the unfavourable season, but what has happened to all the meets and joins that used to happen in the SAS forum?

I used to go to a few of them and over the past years they have seemed to died a death?

Do people still go out on them? I don't get out that much as I used to but I would still now and again like to still go for a hoon or meet other petrol heads.

All the older members grew up and left so the hoons stopped coffee

Ha Ha I am only being sensible now as everyone else has gone. There was a Halloween drive on Saturday night. Then there are the Berkshire and Hampshire meets every month. Join the Berkshire sports cars members pager on facebook.

I used to go to and enjoy the hoons, but as Phil said, we have all got old and boring now laugh

I cant really do a hoon in a Land rover defender, unless I race you to the finish point as the crow flies lol

Doesn't have to be a crazy hoon. Just a meet would suit me fine. But it really does seem the SAS is all quiet now.

I remember 6-7 years ago when tonnes of stuff used to happen.

This is exactly why I set up Berkshire Sports & Classic. There is so many clients, friends & enthusiast in our area who still love meets and country drives. Now that I have a HQ to accommodate it for the local community, it will very much be revived. We do a lot of charity runs and meets with PHU & now TVRCC. If you join you will be immediately in the know about local meets and drives, directly in the Berkshire area.

We have a cars and coffee meet on Sunday 15th November where you will see a lot of the local enthusiasts. Which i'm sure will revive your faith in the car community in Berkshire smile

We're all on a secret FB group now as its not ideal to post up this type of information on a public forum. Reasonable number of hoons going too. I've been up to Scotland on the longest one. If you or any others want to know more just drop me a PM.

The local stuff from this forum did kind of die a death sadly. For one reason or another people have drifted away from all the hooning and meets (me included). Guess it had its time. Most of the old gang are still in touch and meet up occasionally - predominantly for eating/drinking rather than driving these days!

I'm looking to get back into it now too as it happens Hoyin (I'm sure we've met a few times). As said, it still go's on via Facebook.

Happy NY all. I know it's a bit late but does anyone fancy an early morning drive this weekend? Oxfordshire and Thames Valley area?

I'm still here too wavey We used to have some great runs, Remember "Dash for the coast" and ending up in the Yacht club on Hayling island, Jays runs also used to be good too.

We used to do a few runs with Petrolhead Nirvana too but it is true there do not seem to be many runs anymore frown

Its one of the reasons I like the Goodwood Breakfast club meets, you can have a good run down to those if you leave early enough. driving

Just going to a carpark and looking at cars is OK, but I much prefer a group of us going from one place to another smile

Time for some new runs in 2016 smile

I am not interested in Facebook so if there is anything there I would have no idea about it.
